Michelle Cosgrove, Flute, Piano, Founder

  Michelle Cosgrove is the founder of Ensemble Impromptu.  She is a freelance musician for both flute and piano, and has been appeared as guest artist in Period instruments ensembles and orchestras,  wedding and special engagement music with her groups Strings and Wind (guitar & flute) and the Cosgrove/Duffy Duo (piano & flute), and as accompanist and vocalist for church services and recitals.  She received a Bachelors of Music Education from The College of New Jersey, and a Masters in Flute Performance from West Chester University.  Michelle has a large teaching studio in Perkasie, PA, where she devotes most of her time to creating a musical community where her students collaborate in recitals and at various community events.  She is co-president of the the Philadelphia Music Teachers Association, on the Pedagogy committee for the Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia, and Secretary for the Perkasie Towne Improvement Association.  You can read more about her at www.cosgrovestu
